1) Switzerland-A Wish!

A dream since my childhood days! If I think of the thoughts that crossed my mind then, a smile crosses my lips! In those days when i used to think, 'How am I going to fulfill my wish ?'..the only way then was to marry a rich person!, since travelling abroad was expensive and never thought I would be able to afford it!

Dec 05, 2006 is the day when this dream came true when I set my foot on the swiss soil.A sense of triumph swept across me!

All thanks to my office which made this happen.

When I came to UK, I knew the first place I would visit during a holiday is Switzerland.

Switzerland !!!! How much ever I write about this place, its just not enough as I am sure that it would not give a complete description.I would let the photos describe itself.:)

Beautiful Blue lakes, surrounded by hills, mountains, snow peaks, clouds moving over the peaks, in between all this a small country side. This is Switzerland. When I used to see the breathtakingly beautiful scenic locations on post cards,greeting cards etc in my childhood, I wondered, whether such a place ever existed on earth? Or was it just portrayal of someone's imagination?

I remember seeing some of the most beautiful scenic locations in switzerland on TV in our great bollywood movies, specially romantic songs pictured on our heroes and heroines. I thought then, 'Switzerland I guess is the most beautiful place on Earth'. As I grew up, my belief that it was the only beautiful place faded away, as more and more countries were being pictured in our bollywood movies!!!!

Dec 05, 2006 when I started touring Switzerland, I witnessed the beauty and freshness of the place, something I havent seen till date! Let it be, blue skies, blue water, snow clad peaks, green country side,beautiful lakes etc etc..I was just awestruck!!!!

There may be other places in the world as beautiful...or maybe even more beautiful then Switzerland!!I dont know!!

But there is a great since of achievement and fulfillment in me, that I have atleast seen one of the most sought after, famous , beautiful,splendid place ...SWITZERLAND!
